we’re having our very first site event!

things are going along swimmingly here at paradise found, and it’s time for our very first site event! Unfortunately for all the people on the island, this event is going to make previously mentioned ‘swimming’ go along a little less… well, swimmingly.

as much as antigentics would like to make believe they have every single aspect of the experiment controlled, they cannot control the weather. when hurricane lydia bleeped up on their radar, heading straight for the island, they went nearly insane with worry. they couldn’t exactly build a giant bubble protecting the people stranded on it. just like the rest of the world, they were going to have to just watch and see what happens. they instructed the staff members via walkie talkie message to get people to safe shelters, like the brig, but there wasn’t much else they could do.

the hurricane was a category three, worse than they had hoped. without any real fortifications like most societies living on the coast have, the island was devastated. the cruise ship rocked back and forth, threatening to sweep away in the storm. antigenics had no choice but to have some staff members go out and tie down a few more anchors to keep her in place. the storm caused structural damage to nearly all of the small residences, since they were built out of flimsy wood - some were even completely leveled, and others had their roofs peeled off. flooding destroyed a lot of the campgrounds, and the more stable buildings were struck with the floating debris. the inland terrain was also completely flooded. 

the island, even if it wasn’t so great to begin with, is now a fraction of what it once was. what did you character do during the hurricane? were they hurt? was anyone they loved hurt? were they a staff member sent out to tie down the ship? or did they stay semi-safe in the brig? what about their home? How did it fare? It’s all up to you! this event is extremely dynamic, so have fun with it!
